Deconstructing Upmarket Fiction:

A panel with Four Literary Agents

Ever wonder what Upmarket Fiction is? We will be joined by four Literary Agents who will answer this question and many others!

Our panelists include:

Caroline Eisenmann, Associate Agent at the Frances Goldin Literary Agency, where she represents literary and upmarket fiction and nonfiction.

Allison Hunter, Literary Agent at Janklow & Nesbit, and former agent at Ink Well Management where she has worked with Lena Dunham.

Duvall Osteen, Literary Agent at Aragi, Inc., where she has worked with Junot Diaz and Edwidge Danticat. She represents fiction, narrative nonfiction, graphic novels and selected humor projects.

Renee Zuckerbrot, Literary Agent at Massie & McQuilkin Literary Agents and former editor at Doubleday. Her authors include Dan Chaon, Daniel Wallace, and Shawn Vestal, among others.

Moderator: Harriet Shenkman, poet, professor and WNBA-NYC board member.

This event is co-sponsored by NYU and Women’s National Book Association-NYC. Light refreshments will be available after the panel.
